There are the usual large chain type hotels along the Northway near the road in the larger villages. But the farther you get into the park past Lake George, most of the places are smaller owner-operated places. The Adirondacks specializes in individualized, cozy, simple inns, as well as bed and breakfast guest houses located in wilderness areas. You can still find good, reasonably priced cabin rentals by the night.
