North Hudson is one of those beautiful little towns that has no center and only a couple stores, even the local service station and Frontier Town are shuttered. But any stores are a quick drive south to Schroon Lake. Most travelers just drive through this beautiful, large town on their way to High Peaks, Tupper Lake or Canada. But it boast unparalleled outdoor beauty, hiking, hunting and just plain quietness to sooth your mind. It boasts two exits, 29 & 30, plus US 9. US 9 is a real scenic road here, but unfortunately is really frost heaved almost the whole way through, so you are better of staying on the Northway. Branch River Falls
